The Natural Way to Good Respiratory Health

There are many ways for those of us who want to maintain good respiratory health to do so. Here we will touch on just a few. You will find that when you apply these principles they will help you in all other aspects of your health.

The primary thing that we need to do is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This includes exercise, diet, stress management, clean living and possibly the use of vitamins and supplements.

1) You don't have to try to maintain the diet of last year's Mr. Olympia but it is good to strive to take care of the small things that ruin our overall diet. The thing which really works for me is that I strive to change bad habits slowly over a period of time. I zero in on each problem individually and try to make sure that I have it whipped before I go to the next one. I realize that I didn't get fat overnight so it will take time to do better. The end goal is to eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables and to avoid fatty foods, processed food, and starches.

2) Don't overburden yourself with the daily stresses of life. If you are the one who likes to worry remember that you can always pick the problem up again tomorrow. There will always be something out there for you to worry about so you don't have to push it.

3) Leave the cigarettes alone along with those friends who smoke. You can do without the secondhand smoke.. Work on cutting down on the alcohol and caffeine also. You may have to ween yourself from these.

4) Make sure that you get all of the vitamins that you need. A miltivitamin or vitamin supplements can't hurt you. You should take the time to educate yourself on the subject of nutrition so that you can be the judge of what your body needs at any given time. You should make sure that you get plenty of vitamins A and C and plenty of good old fashioned sunshine.

5) The last thing that we will cover in this article is that you should keep an eye on the pollen count in your area. Keep an eye on the smog levels and don't go outside if it will cause a problem.
